What I got for Christmas

Hey guys! It’s your girl Viola, and HAPPY NEW YEAR! Gosh I haven’t blogged since last year!!!! 2016 has been fun, but time to move on to a brand new year of 2017.

Unfortunately,  it being new year, this means that Christmas is indeed over for yet another year, so sad.

However, today I’m going to share with you guys what I got this year. I was going to do a video with commentary but I can’t as I have lost my voice due to a very bad throat.

Also,  I just wanna say that I am not bragging or trying to offend anyone. I love seeing what other people got for Christmas so I just thought you guys would like to know what I got.

Now, my friends and family have rather spoiled me this year and I can’t thank them enough.

The first thing I got was this fluffy black throw for my bed which is so unbelievably cosy. I just love wrapping myself in it in a little cocoon.

… and to go with it I got this new duvet with a New York print on it, and two new cushions.

Clothes wise I was short on Christmasy clothes as I only had one t-shirt and one jumper,  so my parents got me a few things from Primark which is where I get most of my clothes.

They got me these items which I think are just perfect.

I’ve also got all this stuff.

I’ve got these products.

I’ve got these books,  CDs and DVDs.

My nan spoiled me with these beautiful earrings.

I’ve finally got these brushes which I have wanted FOREVER.

And I have all this chocolate!!!!!!!!

Well that’s all for now guys,  I hope you all had a great Christmas and I will see you all later this new year.

Blogmas 7: CHRISTMAS DAY!!!!!!!!

Hey guys! It’s your girl Viola and a very Merry Christmas to all of you fabulous people!

I am writing this post the day before as I will be far to busy on Christmas Day, and I hope to God that this is scheduled correctly. I’ll be checking WordPress Christmas Day evening to make sure it has but I’m positive that it’ll be fine.

Anyhoo, I hope you all have had an amazing day, and I hope you received great gifts from your friends and family. I will probably write a post sometime after Christmas all about my Christmas Day and what I got, so look forward to that.

I would like to share with you my favourite quotes from some Christmas movies that I think are very good.

“Maybe Christmas, he thought, doesn’t come from a store. Maybe Christmas…perhaps…means a little bit more.” – JIM CAREY, THE GRINCH

“Seeing is believing, but sometimes the most real things in the world are the things we can’t see.” – TOM HANKS, POLAR EXPRESS

“Blast this Christmas music! It’s joyful and triumphant.” JIM CAREY, THE GRINCH

“I just like to smile. Smiling’s my favourite.” BUDDY, ELF

“One thing about trains: it doesn’t matter where they’re going, what matters is deciding to get on” TOM HANKS, POLAR EXPRESS

Merry Christmas everyone!

Blogmas 6: My Christmas Eve

Hey guys! It’s your girl Viola, and it is Christmas Eve!!!!!!!!! And, this is my 50th post on my page!!!!!!!!!!! I’m so happy!!!!!

It doesn’t feel like Christmas Eve to me though, I don’t feel like it’ll be Christmas Day in less than 24 hours time, but I’m still excited!

I’m sure everyone has their own Christmas Eve traditions, whether it be a movie night, Christmas Carolling, playing board games or anything, so I am going to share with you, my Christmas Eve traditions.

I always have a lie in on the 24th because I’m usually up at 8am the next day, and when i DO get up I always have a big mug of hot chocolate with extra cream and extra marshmallows. However, I’ve just got a new coffee maker installed which has a milk foamer mixer thing, so now I can have warm foamy milk in my hot chocolate which is even better. I don’t have the same breakfast every year, I just have whatever I’m in the mood fro, but I always have a mince pie after my breakfast because they are so good, and I follow my breakfast by taking my dog for a long walk in the cold winter air.

Just after lunchtime, me and my dad go and visit my Nan who lives in a village not far from my town. She always makes a trifle and her delicious secret recipe stuffing for us to take home and have for our Christmas Dinner. She has told me the recipe, but I don’t think I’ll be able to make it as well as she does.

Before tea time I always have a shower. I used to have a bath with a large bath bomb but our bathtub was thrown out years ago, so now I just use my favourite shampoos and soaps.

For tea my mum and dad watch a movie in the dining room and me and my sister watch a movie out in the conservatory. We always watch the same movie every year on the 24th, the Polar Express. It’s my most favourite Christmas movie ever of all time. Our traditional Christmas Eve dinner is Roasted pull-of-the-bone Duck with those very thin, savoury Chinese pancakes and cucumbers and spring onions. We don’t always have dessert but we do have a starter of King Prawns with a dipping sauce, Spring Rolls and Salmon canapes. A very fishy starter.

When I was little I used to go to bed really early because I wanted the night to fly by and for it to be Christmas morning as soon as possible. Now I go to bed only a little earlier than usual but only because I don’t get a lie in the next morning, but I have a second hot chocolate first and a browse on YouTube.

Well guys, that is my Christmas Eve traditions, I hope you enjoyed and I will see you all tomorrow.

Blogmas 5: A Special Guest Post

Hey guys! it’s your girl Viola and I have a special collab post today from the fabulous miss Annoymousblog101. Enjoy!

Hey everyone, I’m A (aka Annoymousblog101) and Viola has blackmailed me into writing a blog post for her Blogmas 😀 Joking..ish.

Anyway, I had a long hard think about what to write and after 5 seconds I decided to do something fashion related because… why not.

Lets start off with onsies, before you try to argue with me that onsies arent fashion… yes they are don’t you see all the peoples on vogue with onsies on… Oh you havent? Neither have I but it exists!
Christmas onsies are the best with some Christmas wooly socks.
Onsies are for Pjamas on Christmas eve and 2 weeks after. No shame.

Okay, how about Christmas day when you are going out or something. Depends your style really… I cant tell you what to wear, just wear some skinny jeans and a checkered flowy top. I dont know… you’re asking a girl that stays in pj’s all the time I would go to college in pj’s if I was allowed.
I would be surprised if Viola actually posted this on her blog because she is very particular about her blog posts, she reads her blogs through once shes wrote them… I dont do that, like ever!
Should I be doing that?! Naa, I have somehow gained nearly 200 follows by writing poorly.. I cant figure that one out either.

Oh yeah, fashion. Wear what you want, eat what you want.. I sure am. I’ll be dancing to Jingle my bloody bells while eating a whole tin of celebrations.. If thats not relatable I’m not sure what is.
I’m not sure if I’m hyper right now, in my mind anyway. Am I like this on my blog. I’ve only been doing Christmasy posts on my blog and it’s driving me insane. I love Christmas and all but not 24 posts of it, every.single.day. Buuttt, im not quiting. Ive done too many days to give up now.
This post is just me being stupid, jokey and ranting. That sums up me.

Lets end this before I start offending people.. Ive got ‘Single Ladies’ by beyonce stuck in my head. Alll the single ladies (all the single ladies) All the single ladies (all the single ladies) all the single ladies… Now put your hands up… Hahaha thats an amazing song.

Anyway, I’ll end this now.
If your new, follow Viola’s blog. She’s a great blogger and puts a lot of effort into her posts.

I’ll see you sometime next year…Byeee

Blogmas 4: My Embarrassing Xmas Story part 2

Welcome to My Embarrassing Christmas Story part 2! Do you want to know what happened? First lets just have a brief recap of what I’ve told you so far.

It was Christmas Day and all my family and me were eating Christmas Dinner and I had to sit on my wheelie office desk from upstairs as there weren’t enough chairs. However the wheels had no grip and so my chair kept sliding all over the place on the smooth laminate flooring. Here’s what happened next.

I was happily eating my dinner trying to keep the chair still when I dropped a carrot on the floor, how it missed my big fat gob I will never know. Usually, if it’s not a food that’s harmful to a dog, I will just let my dog eat it. She comes running when she hears food hit the floor, but this time I couldn’t see her in site at all. I just assumed she was taking a nap in the living room so I pushed my chair back to pick it up.

However, forgetting that my chair had wheels, I pushed a little too aggressively, the chair went flying backwards. Then it collided with my dog who as it turns out was stood right behind me (don’t worry, no dog was harmed in the occurrence of this story), and my chair toppled over and i fell flat on my face on the floor. And to make matters worse, when my chair started to topple over, in quick panic mode i grabbed the table to try and stay up, pulled the cloth, and a gravy boat toppled over.

In conclusion I spent the rest of the meal covered from head to toe in hot gravy while my family kept making jokes and puns. I was able to laugh it off by the time the following Christmas came around.

Well that’s my embarrassing little Christmas story out in the open.

That’s all for now guys.

Blogmas 3: A Perfect Xmas Breakfast

Hey guys! It’s you girl Viola, and I have noticed something.

You hear a lot about Christmas dinner and people are coming up with many tips and tricks on how to make it so darn perfect. But what about what you eat in the morning? Breakfast is the most important meal of the day, and it’s Christmas so people like to treat themselves with something better for the occasion than just a bit of toast or a banana.

Last year I melted a couple of Terry’s Chocolate Orange pieces and I drizzled it on a fresh croissant, and it was freaking delicious. So today guys, I have a few ideas for a lovely Christmas breakfast.

French Toast

French toast is so unbelievably easy and simple to do, trust me. What you do is you crack to eggs in a jug and you whisk it with a fork. Then you pure the egg on a tray or a plate that is deep enough so the egg won’t overflow everywhere. Then you take a regular slice of bread (I use Hovis mostly) and you lay it in the egg and move it around a little. Then you turn it over and soak the other side. Then you fry it in a frying pan on both sides till it’s golden brown. To garnish you sprinkle a little cinnamon powder and some brown sugar but I don’t always do that. This dish is really delicious.

Pancakes with Golden Syrup and Strips of Bacon

I  absolutely love pancakes, the american or the french kind. Golden syrup goes so perfectly with them and who can go wrong with a couple strips of bacon. It’s an odd sounding combination but it’s really good.

Toasted Crumpets with Nutella

I love Nutella, who doesn’t? With it melted into crumpets is even better, and it’s super simple to do if you don’t want to mess around too much.

This year I’m going to have Belgian Waffles with Forest Fruits. I can’t live without waffles.

Well, that’s all for now guys!

Blogmas 2: My Embarrassing Christmas Story

Hey guys! It’s your girl Viola, and today I have a story. It is a story about my embarrassing Christmas in 2008, so let’s begin.

It was Christmas Day in 2008, and the whole family was around my house for the day. My parents, my sister, my Nan and Granddad from my Mum’s side and my other Nan from my Dad’s side. We had finished unwrapping all the presents and we were just having our Christmas dinner.

Now my dining table only has 6 chairs and there were 7 of us. You do the math. In my room I have an office chair for my desk which has wheels on the bottom and every year that is used as the emergency chair when a lot of guests are around, so I had to sit on that at the end of the table.

However, plastic wheels with no grip on the bottom mixed with the flat and smooth laminate flooring in the dining room did not mix at all. In conclusion, my chair kept sliding about all over the place, and it was very hard to try and keep it still in one place.

I think you have some idea where this is going now. If you don’t… I guess you’ll have to wait.

To be continued …..

Blogmas 1: May your Makeup be Merry and Bright

Hey guys! It’s your girl Viola, and this is my very first Blogmas blog. This is my first Christmas since I started blogging on WordPress so as you can guess I am pretty excited! So lets get this party started shall we.

My first blog is a makeup tutorial that’s really fitting for this time of year.

With the eyes I think these are the best.

I think the smokey eye Christmas tree is is very creative and festive and i love it. All you need is a couple greens, a couple browns and golds, and a couple reds and blues for the ballballs. If you still want to be creative but a little simpler, you can do a candy cane eyeliner with a bit of black aswell. Simple but festive. However, if you want to go a little less over the top I think the best eyeshadow colours to use are brown smokey eye, a silver sparkly smokey eye for a party per-say, or a lovely festive green smokey eye. I think all of these are very good looking, but you could mix them up a little. For example, a green smokey eye with a candy cane eyeliner.

Then for the lips, you have to go for the classic red.

I believe to make it more festive for the day, you could do a very sparkly red, or if that’s not to your taste you could do the perfect black and red ombre lips. You don’t have to use red, you can use any colour you want. These are just my personal favourites.

Well, that’s all for now guys, I hope you enjoyed my very first Christmas blog, and I will see you all tomorrow.
